Historic Holidays Décor: Tides & Tidings

Each holiday season local businesses, clubs and volunteers decorate the Deering Estate's historic Richmond Cottage room by room; this year's theme, “Tides & Tidings,” brings nautical décor, blue-and-silver lights and garlands inspired by coral and mangroves. It's on view daily from Nov. 27 to Jan. 6, 10 a.m.–5 p.m. (gates close at 4), and is included with general admission — buy online and pick your date. The Estate is closed on Christmas Day, and the Stone House is closed for restoration.
