Free After-School Wednesdays at the Museum of Miami

The Museum of Miami, the downtown history museum formerly known as HistoryMiami, opens free after school every Wednesday for elementary and K-8 center students and their parents or guardians. Families explore the exhibits on their own from 2 to 5 p.m., and a one-hour guided tour of Tropical Dreams: A People's History of South Florida starts at 3 p.m., limited to 20 people. January's Wednesdays are Jan. 6, 13, 20 and 27. Advance registration is required for both, and students must come with a legal guardian.
